Arita Series – Yunomi 8

This cup is a record of fire.
Its exterior maps the atmosphere inside the saggar — where the rice straw burned, where the copper wire oxidised, where the gosu pigment melted and moved. The interior glaze, rich and deep, is the final word.

Reduction firing on Japanese Arita porcelain. Exterior unglazed — shaped entirely by fire residues. Interior with a transparent satin glaze.
