Arita Series – Round Sencha Cup 1

There is something deeply meditative about holding this cup.
Its warm, sandy exterior bears the quiet marks of fire — dark carbon sweeps left by rice straw, the ghost of copper wire tracing its path across the surface, all set against a soft celadon green interior that glows like a still pond at dawn.

Traditionally a Sencha cup for fine green tea, it holds whatever you need it to hold. Use it as it speaks to you.

Oxidation firing on Japanese Arita porcelain. Exterior unglazed — shaped entirely by fire residues. Interior with a transparent satin glaze.
