No two pieces from a saggar kiln are ever the same.
Dramatic carbon markings sweep across the exterior, framed by warm amber tones and the ghostly trace of copper wire. The interior carries the deep, rich glaze of reduction firing.
Shaped by hand, shaped by fire, shaped by surrender.

Reduction firing on Japanese Arita porcelain. Exterior unglazed — shaped entirely by fire residues. Interior with a transparent satin glaze.
