Wani Studio – Brachiosaurus Yunomi Cup

A long-necked Brachiosaurus wanders beneath a painted cloud, a tall cylindrical yunomi cup with a warm brown-touched rim — a study in gentle whimsy.

Hand-painted porcelain by studio wani — Kenichiro and Miriam Watajima, a husband-and-wife duo working in Hasami, Nagasaki. The dinosaur series is Miriam's design; sand is mixed into the porcelain clay to give an antique, iron-speckled surface in homage to Ko-Imari ware.
