Wani Studio – Triceratops Bowl

A horned Triceratops stands its ground among tall plants — another member of the imagined menagerie, rendered in the same fine cross-hatched border.

Hand-painted porcelain by studio wani — Kenichiro and Miriam Watajima, a husband-and-wife duo working in Hasami, Nagasaki. The dinosaur series is Miriam's design; sand is mixed into the porcelain clay to give an antique, iron-speckled surface in homage to Ko-Imari ware.
