Wani Studio – Brontosaurus Bowl

A long-necked, gentle giant Brontosaurus sweeps across the widest bowl of the menagerie, its head bowed low among the painted plants.

Hand-painted porcelain by studio wani — Kenichiro and Miriam Watajima, a husband-and-wife duo working in Hasami, Nagasaki. The dinosaur series is Miriam's design; sand is mixed into the porcelain clay to give an antique, iron-speckled surface in homage to Ko-Imari ware.
