Wani Studio – Diplodocus Bowl

A long-necked Diplodocus ambles across a cross-hatched bowl among leafy shoots — part of a small imagined menagerie, each bowl its own dinosaur.

Hand-painted porcelain by studio wani — Kenichiro and Miriam Watajima, a husband-and-wife duo working in Hasami, Nagasaki. The dinosaur series is Miriam's design; sand is mixed into the porcelain clay to give an antique, iron-speckled surface in homage to Ko-Imari ware.
