Handmade porcelain cup, crafted through slip casting and saggar firing, made from a modified porcelain recipe formulated by the artist  to allow vitrification at lower firing temperatures. Lower-temperature firing preserves fuming effects, retaining the atmospheric traces of combustibles. Each cup was saggar-fired with copper wire and fine wire mesh, washed and dusted with cobalt and copper carbonate.

The surface reveals gradients of deep cobalt blues dissolving into coppery rusts and earthen tones, evoking the drama of a collapsing twilight sky. The raw porcelain exterior carries both matte textures and subtle vitrified sheens from the cobalt and copper interactions, while the interior is lined with a transparent gloss glaze, ensuring the piece is fully food safe. This cup has been further enhanced with a traditional Japanese Kanna carving technique, where the clay body is sliced and textured by hand, adding depth and movement to the fire-drawn surface.
